Blog Entry30 years ago... Oct 24, '07 7:34 AM
for everyone

Well, it has been two intense week for me preparing for my preaching. Finally it's all over...

i haven't been touching on multiply for a long time, until Abel called me one day and said that people has been vandalizing my guest book with all the vulgar words and accusations. :)

i'm just curious how many are still actively using multiply in my contacts? i heard people said that blogspot is better? some say friendster? latest is facebook?

opps... my title... 30 years ago... the first personal computer was about 1977... ever wonder30 years ago, without a computer, how do people go through life? isn't it a little scary how much we are replying on computer right now?

i first used a computer when i stepped into Inti College in 1998, my CSC101. haha... i have to learn how to double click to open up Lotus or Word. That time was windows 3.1 i think... wow.... some to think about it, my nephew Chern Han is only 3 years old, he open up GMAIL for my sister and play games from google all the time... wah...

my childhood was one that spent on fishing, playig marble, paying board games (overnight at their place), tell ghost stories, camping, "playing cards" sometimes, playing Sega/Nintendo/Micro Genius in friends' house, soccer, hide and seek, and stuff like that... what does the kids nowadays do le? Do they have fun like i do? what derives their joy?

Anyone with any insight to share? :)

alright... just a thought. and for those that are still alive in multiply, please drop by ya.

cheers!

Blog Entrycatch a movie? Mar 12, '07 8:12 AM
for everyone

My momo said... life is like a box of chocalates; you never know what you are going to get. All would remember what Tom Hanks siad in Forrest Gump!

SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Cuba Gooding Junior in Jerry Maguire.

You complete me.... Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire...

Movies! movies movies! What is the best movie that you have watched?

I believe all of us would have our own favorite movies that we have watched.

i remember watching 4 movies a month when i was doing my undergrad. Those whole loves movie, you would identify with me that once you stepped into the cinema it's like you are entering into another world. Going into the cinema is like when you enter into a boutique and left your umbrella outside, the umbrella is our problems, stresses, and challenges.

its not to run away from challenges, but to put it aside and then pick it up back after the movie. Church would be the number one place that you will have this magic in your life to have the faith and courage to move on, second is the CINEMA! hahaha...

Guys, tell me what's the best movie you have watched? I know there are lots of it... share share share....

What about you? These are some of the movies that you should never ever miss in your life!

Sleepless in Seattle (1993) PosterRemember the Titans (2000) PosterAs Good As It Gets (1997) Poster

wow... as i try to remember back what i really like... the list seems to go on and on.. Top Gun! The Silent of the Lambs, Green Mile... on and on and on... i know it's all quite classical... haha..

which is your all time favorite? Some will definitely say Stephen Chow's movie! hahaha.. What's your record of repeating to watch the same movie? i heard someone watch Sound of Music for 5 times...

what about you?

Blog Entrygood hair cut... Mar 12, '07 6:00 AM
for everyone

Hey everyone,

Just how important is a good hair cut to you? How do you define a good hair stylist?

Well, I think for me, speed and touch are the most important criteria. I have been to a stylist that seems to me cutting every single strand of my hair, one by one…. I almost told that guy that, I am ok… just leave it as it is, and I am leaving! No matter how nice it turned out to be, I just cannot justify myself to get back to that stylist.

I remember one of the best stylists I had is Joanne from Sense Studio. Well, it was pastor that brought me there. I like it so much because she is fast and confident, of course good quality as well. Then after that I also discovered that Sunway there is such a stylist as well! yeap, you are right, non other than Crystal Vera! Stylist name is Janiel! Cool guy from Sabah. And so happen about the same time pastor also got his hair cut there.

He is fast, and he is this very stylo (especially the way he hold his scissor), very cool guy. A month ago, he got into an accident, crash from his 250cc big motorbike while taking a corner at this road to Seremban at the speed of 140km/hr! He said on a normal road he would go till 230-240km/hr! Trust me, he is not lying. Well, he was alright, but his GF behind him quite teruk. He told me that the GF swear not to ride on bike anymore. For that period that he was on MC, I tried other stylists. Well, guess what, today I went back for him again! He is still the best.

Hehe… What about my pastor? He upgraded himself to Tony and Guy in Lot 10 already hahaha…

So, tell me your hair cut experience. Do you guys go back to the same stylist all the time? Or you like to change occasionally? What’s your record for the longest hair cut experience.

Well, this is the coolest hair style i have that i can find from my laptop. Guys, we have to wear like that everyweek for service last time you know....  i think in the picture, we all look younger now than 5-6 years ago.

Blog Entry2nd attemptMar 8, '07 9:19 PM
for everyone

well... i have finally finished the book by Tony Hendra yesterday entitle Father Joe. Amazing book... it speaks of the unfailing grace of God, that how a man can be so messed up at the end to realise that God is bigger than all the mess. At age 14, Tony Hendra was having an affair with a married woman when her husband dragged him off to see a Benedectine monk on the Isle of Wight, Father Joe. This was the beginning of a lifelong friendship for the two. Tony Hendra became a successful humorist and satirist (he was one of the founders of National Lampoon) and drifted away from the church into a lifestyle of sex and drugs. Father Joe's calm demeanor and wisdom helped bring Hendra back to the church and to an understanding that the only sin was one of selfishness. Father Joe has received many glowing reviews with the Philadelphia Inquirer saying, "Hendra's book is so funny at times that you wonder if you'll ever get through it for laughing. At other times, it truly brings a lump to the throat and a tear to the eye. It is splendidly crafted and a welcome reminder that what true religion is about is learning how to love." Its the New York Times runaway best seller...

i encourage you guys to grab it... a leader is a reader!
